Get to know me!

My name is Chelsey (she/her/hers).

Like many in the mental health field, my path to becoming a provider was shaped by personal experience. I grew up instinctively stepping into the role of “the helper,” deeply attuned to the emotional world around me—and within myself. That sensitivity eventually guided me toward a career that allows me to connect meaningfully with others on their own journeys.

As a cisgender woman exploring my own neurodivergent identity, I’ve found that lived experience has deepened both my empathy and insight. This personal lens, combined with clinical work in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings across the lifespan, has shaped the way I show up as a practitioner: grounded, attentive, and human first.

I’m a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, currently working exclusively with adults (ages 18 and up). I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University and my Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. I’m licensed in the state of Colorado and currently provide care virtually.

My practice is rooted in creating a safe, inclusive space where people from all walks of life feel seen and supported. I welcome individuals of all cultural, racial, gender, sexual orientation, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My approach is warm and collaborative—I take time to understand what makes each person unique and tailor care to fit their specific needs.

I believe healing happens in the context of connection. That’s why I emphasize active listening, compassion, and honoring autonomy in treatment planning. I love working as part of a team and am always happy to coordinate with your therapist, primary care provider, or other members of your care circle.

My clinical interests include anxiety disorders (generalized, OCD, social, and panic), depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. In recent years, I’ve had a particular focus on ADHD—especially after receiving my own diagnosis in adulthood. That experience has been invaluable in helping me connect with patients through a blend of lived experience and evidence-based care. While I’m no longer accepting new patients specifically seeking ADHD evaluation or treatment as I expand my work in other areas, this chapter has been meaningful in shaping the practitioner I am today.

If you’re considering care, I’d be honored to support you! Let’s travel the path toward healing—together, collaboratively.
